Step 1:
Application

Registered applicants may log in using their previously created username and password. If you’ve forgotten your login credentials, click on “forgot password” to reset it.

The first step is to enter your basic profile information.

Tell us about all your relevant experiences so far. Please include information for at least three previous employers.

Tell us where you have studied.

List the certifications and licenses you have earned.

Help us get to know your interests and needs.

Step 2:
Initial Interview

Generally conducted by phone, initial interviews are designed to help us learn more about your interest in Zachry and the position, your experience and career goals, and how well you may fit within the organization.

Based upon the assessment of initial interviews, final interviews are scheduled with hiring managers and other members of the Zachry team.

Step 3:
Reference Assessment

We use online assessment to gather information about the candidates’ skills and accomplishments that may not surface during interviews. The assessments are important in determining fit, qualifications and the direction of interviews.

You will receive an email from Zachry’s assessment vendor, with easy instructions to follow.

For each of your references, please enter:

  • 1 First and last name
  • 2 Email address
  • 3 Company and title
  • 4 Relationship with reference
  • 5 Dates of working relationship

The system sends an automated email to your references with the assessment questions. The anonymous replies are then aggregated into an overall report.

Please Note:

  • The online system is available 24/7 to you and to your references.
  • Once you have gathered your reference information, it should not take more than 5 to 10 minutes of your time.
  • It should take your references no longer than 10 minutes of their time to respond.

OTHER ASSESSMENTS

Additional assessments such as skills tests (Excel, typing, etc.) may be required, depending upon the role.

Step 4:
Final Interview

At Zachry, the interview process is collaborative and comprehensive. Through team interviews or one-on-one meetings, we seek to understand your strengths, your accomplishments, and the ways you approach daily challenges.

Your past performance and behaviors are key to predicting success in your new position at Zachry. You can expect to meet several employees during the interview process. The interviewers often work in teams, or sometimes one-on-one. Occasionally, a panel interview will be scheduled. The interview team works to learn as much as possible about you, but will also provide you with information about the business, your opportunities within the organization, and what it’s like to be part of the Zachry team.

Most interviews last between 45 and 60 minutes. You may have a series of meetings on your interview day, unless an interview panel is utilized.

Prior to your interview, it may be helpful to:

  • Review your resume.
  • Think about successes and challenges in your career and in your life.
  • Prepare to talk about your past experiences, and think of examples to illustrate them.

Once final interviews are completed, the interview team will meet to discuss and reach a joint decision about your possible role on the Zachry team.

Step 5:
The Offer

When extending an offer, our evaluation is complete. At this stage, we hope you have gained enough information about Zachry to know that you’ll be a terrific addition to the team!
