Zachry Group has an exciting new opportunity for Manager, Quality Technical Support in San Antonio, Texas. This position manages, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organizing and controlling of Quality Support Services for the assigned company business groups. Creates Quality manuals, procedures and Inspection plans to support Field Construction in meeting contract Quality requirements.
The purpose of the Manager, Quality Technical Support position is to produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of large capital EPC and construct-only projects. Areas covered: Quality Plans, Quality Manuals, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Responsible Business Practices (RBP) liaison
Manage RBP Quality documents (process mapping, procedure development, reviewer)
Works closely with Craft Specialists and Turnover for project Quality-document review
Manages Quality support services to ZII & other Zachry Companies for Quality
Provides technical support to operations in all disciplines by providing code, contract and specification interpretations on quality and testing requirements
Creates and reviews Quality and test plans for compliance with Codes, standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications
Manage RBP (Responsible Business Practice) Quality documents (process mapping, procedure development, reviewer)
Draft/create quality documentation to support customer(s)
Produces Quality presentations and statistics analysis for internal and external presentations
Assists Corporate Management on special assignments that require technical evaluations and recommendations in the Quality discipline
Performs functions of Manager of Quality Assurance in their absence or unavailability
Other duties and projects as assigned
High school diploma or GED
3-5 years related experience
Construction and/or engineering experience
Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, video chat and software systems. Position may include visits to construction sites and industrial facilities requiring mobility (on ground and at heights) and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hardhat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and work boots.
Employee will work in multiple environments including an office, warehouse and in a trailer or building on construction sites. On construction sites, noise levels will be moderate to high. Job sites may contain the following: light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling and talking. Noise levels vary and may include bells, whistles, and alarms.
