Position Summary:  

Manages employment activities of Industrial craft and professional positions‎.  ‎Works with key managers‎, ‎employment staff and project ‎managers to determine staffing needs‎.  ‎Continuously demonstrates ability to plan‎, ‎implement and organize staffing and recruiting ‎strategies to meet staffing needs‎.  ‎Ensures job sites adequately staffed with qualified employees at all times and ‎employment policies‎, ‎practices and programs adhere to federal‎, ‎state and local employment laws‎.‎


Position Responsibilities: 

  • Manages recruiting and placement activities including day to ‎day operations of the employment process that includes‎:  ‎Monitor screening‎, ‎testing and background ‎investigations as required‎, ‎recruits‎, ‎interviews and selects employees to fill position vacancies‎.‎
  • Workforce planning and deployment including‎: ‎establishing and developing employment priorities ‎and goals‎, ‎planning and anticipating staffing requirements‎.‎
  • Perform typical supervisory responsibilities including preparing the business plan,‎ evaluating staff performance‎, ‎and encouraging staff development and training‎, ‎interfacing with all ‎divisions and corporate support groups and overseeing compliance of the employment process‎.‎
  • Manage the companies staffing plans process‎.‎
  • Assist in providing wage and labor market availability surveys‎.‎
  • Plans and anticipates future staffing requirements by monitoring employment job ‎openings‎/‎requisitions‎, ‎employment availability trends‎, ‎applicant flow and turnover data and other ‎relevant employment information‎.‎
  • Complete all tasks and responsibilities within the parameters of provided policies and procedures in addition to state and federal law. 
  • Network with industry contacts and candidates to build and maintain sourcing pools.
  • Develop detailed job descriptions, screening questions and tool lists specific to positions based on scope of work to be performed. 
  • Source candidates from multiple internal and external pools. 
  • Screen candidates to ensure qualification for positions to be filled. 
  • Recruit and make contingent offers of employment to qualified candidates in a high volume hiring environment. 
  • Employment verification (ZII and other companies). 
  • Schedule individuals for processing and orientation. 
  • Update the Applicant Tracking System in real time with candidate information and interactions.
  • Generate and provide reports to internal and external customers. 
  • Conduct exit interviews. 
  • Develop and implement redeployment plans and communication. 
  • Attend job fairs and other industry events. 
  • Administration of department support functions and programs including Criminal Background Checks, E-Verify, vendor management, Social media, Department Budget and Special Events
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned 

  
  
Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities (Include any training, licenses and certifications):  

  • Experience in Industrial Construction or Human Resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Detail oriented and exceptional organizational skills. 
  • Sensitive and compliant with confidential information. 
  • Flexible and able to deal with changing priorities. 
  • Multitask handling multiple concurrent tasks 
  • Meet deadlines while working under time constraints 
  • Strong computer skills and demonstrated ability with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) 
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and work with frequent interruptions. 
  • Ability to work independently and maintain accountability for work 
  • Able to travel up to 25% of the time and relocate. 

Valued but not required skills, knowledge and abilities: 

  • Bi-Lingual – English and Spanish 
  • PHR/SPHR Certification
  • Experience in: Administration or Customer Service
