Zachry Group is seeking an Document Management System Administrator to work with all project stakeholders, including client representatives in support of Document Management System (DMS) solutions and related Information Management (IM) systems as they pertain to EPC project delivery.  This role assists with identifying standards, procedures, and requirements for DMS solutions and tools specified by the customer, as well as the Zachry project execution team, to be used throughout all phases of the EPC project lifecycle. The position will support DMS implementations, integrations, and configuration changes across the enterprise.  Responsibilities include DMS solutions and related IM systems across all projects within Construction and Engineering.



  • Implement, configure, and support DMS solutions, practices, and related technologies to maintain DMS data and database reliability and integrity.

  • Provide on-call support including conferring with users and vendors, troubleshooting, and using an ITSM tool and ITIL-based change management process.

  • Support configuration changes to DMS solutions and related IM system requirements as project delivery requirements change throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Gather and document business and technical requirements, as well as functional and technical specifications

  • Coordinate with IT, Project Controls, Construction, Engineering, and other stakeholder groups to specify and plan project DMS requirements.

  • Provide support to other functional IM areas that depend upon, or interface to, DMS solutions.
  • Support execution of DMS and related IM system work instructions and procedures developed and defined in EPC IT execution and implementation plans.

  • Perform analysis, evaluation, testing, maintenance, and implementation of DMS solutions in support of EPC projects as well as secondary, related IM systems and applications.

  • Research and evaluate software, analyze processes and workflow, and configure, test, implement, and upgrade applications and tools to enhance efficiency, quality and collaboration

  • Develop solution reference documents including configurations, test scripts and test results.
  • Model DMS solutions and related IM systems using industry-standard modeling approaches such as UML or ArchiMate.

  • Support and enforce standards and work practices to enable and govern efficient project collaboration, including accessibility of data, documents, and systems.

  • Provide remote and on-sight training and oversight of users as necessary
  • Assist with project closeout activities as they pertain to DMS solutions including archival procedures in conjunction with project stakeholders.

  • Adhere to the principles of planning, executing, measuring and adjusting in order to ensure the success of implemented systems and procedures, and to ensure the development of fit-for-purpose DMS solutions and IM systems on projects.

  • Other duties, projects and assignments as assigned.


  • Minimum of a BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Construction Science, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field.

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience within the EPC or the E&P (exploration & production) industries, in a relevant role and with project execution experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral communication, presentation and writing skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of the Engineering / Procurement / Construction (EPC) project lifecycle, and related information requirements.

  • A strong understanding of engineering and construction data management practices, database technologies, data presentation, data modeling, project data lifecycles, and project data domains.

  • Demonstrated experience in implementing, integrating, and supporting DMS solutions for large (>$500M) EPC projects.

  • Attentive to details



  • Broad working knowledge of Document Management Systems (DMS) as they are used in support of Information Management (IM) activities in an EPC project environment

  • Experience with AWP and related processes
  • Knowledge of ISO-15926



Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry and move objects safely. Light domestic and, potentially, some international travel required.



Will work in a general office environment. Capable of operating and functioning in a fast-paced work environment. Must possess a vision (corrected or uncorrected) that allows for clear visibility from a distance of 20 inches or less.
