Construction Engineering Rep II

Zachry Group is current accepting applications for a Construction Engineering Rep II for multiple opportunities to assist the Craft Supervision team (General Foremen, Foremen and Superintendents) with craft work planning, earned value, quantity management, document management, procurement/material management, cost management and technical support. A successful Construction Engineer II interfaces well with the Craft Supervision team, Design Engineers, and other members of the project team. Specific task assignments include Drawing takeoffs, progress measurement and reporting, development of material requisitions, set up of 4D modeling program, review of cost codes, communication of design drawing and specification requirements and submittal of time sheets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Cost Management team in the development of contract/change management support documentation and verification of cost codes/time sheets
Ensure accurate and up to date documentation distribution is available for assigned craft and assist in craft information submittal process
Assist in the Daily progress process and system entry
Support Operational and Technical craft supervision needs regarding drawings and specification, data analysis, reporting, 4D model system and engagement with design engineers
Support Procurement and Material Management process in the development of critical material items and material requisitions
Perform material takeoff quantification and monitor variation from Budgeted quantities
Assist Planning manager in the development and implementation of Work Package Planning activities
Complete projects and other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
1+ years of experience in Construction or Engineering
Strong communication, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently and with a team
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Complete tasks with little to no supervision
Strong decision-making ability
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with scheduling, report writing, data entry, filing and document management, fundamentals of E2
Knowledge of Craft Progress-Qtrax, EB, SIMS, Oracle, scheduling software
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, video chat and software systems. Position will include visits to maintenance sites and industrial facilities requiring mobility (on ground and at heights) and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and work boots.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Employee will work in multiple environments including an office, warehouse and in a trailer or building on sites. On work sites noise levels will be moderate to high. Job site will contain: light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling and talking, bells whistles and alarms.
